I am a Kickstarter fan – I spend way too much time and money backing various projects – mostly board and card games. But my favorite (and first) tarot deck, the Telluric Tarot, was a Kickstarter project I backed. I know this is a great venue for Tarot projects to come to life so I do keep an eye out for ones that I am interested in backing.
There are a few projects I wanted to share, for those who might be interested.
This is a 64-card oracle deck inspired by the classic I Ching, or Book of Changes. It is an interesting combination of eastern and western divination methods. Campaign ends March 7.
This is a 78-card tarot deck based on the traditional Rider Waite Smith (RWS) tarot system. Kickstarter campaign ends March 22. A follow up deck featuring Tigger, called Wisdom of Pooh and Tigger Too will hit Kickstarter in 2024.
Cryptid Oracle Cards: Eerie Encounters
This is an oracle deck based on various Cryptids and includes some of my favorites, like the Jersey Devil, el Chupacabra, and Mothman. This campaign ends March 28th.
The Tarot Deck Mess: Intro to the Major Arcana
This is a new release coming out from Moon Dust Press, a small publishing house that prints books dealing with witchcraft. This book is a creative introduction to Tarot, going through the 22 cards of the Major Arcana, and includes a 22 card major arcana deck. This campaign ends March 31st.
